- Spiritual stats — chant counts and streaks (stored locally, never shared)
2 Permissions Explained Clearly
Hindu Prayer Lock requests the following Android permissions, each with a clear, honest purpose:
Display Over Other Apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW)
Required to show devotional content on your Android lock screen. Only used to display the prayer screen — never to overlay ads, monitor your activity, or collect data.
Accessibility Service (Optional)
Used to detect when your screen turns on so the prayer appears reliably. It does NOT read any screen content, keypresses, or personal data. It only listens for screen wake events.
Boot Completed (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED)
Allows the lock screen service to restart automatically after a device reboot, ensuring an uninterrupted devotional experience. No personal data is accessed.
Foreground Service
Maintains the lock screen service running reliably in the background. This is a standard Android permission for apps that perform background operations.
Exact Alarms (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM)
Used exclusively for the Smart Scheduling feature to activate or deactivate the prayer lock screen at precise times you configure. Not used for any other purpose.

3 How We Use Information
We use the information stored on your device exclusively to:
- Display your preferred language and deity-specific spiritual content
- Remember your settings between app sessions
- Enable the lock screen devotion feature

4 Third-Party Services
Hindu Prayer Lock is a self-contained app. We do not integrate with third-party analytics services, advertising networks, or social media platforms.
The app may collect anonymous, aggregated crash reports through Google Play Services (governed by Google's own Privacy Policy). This contains no personally identifiable information and is used only to improve app stability.
5 Your Rights & Data Deletion
Because all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control:
- Uninstall the app (removes all local data instantly)
